Learning Disabilities

A learning disability is the difficulty to learn that a human being can have. It can be produced by different reasons, a physical disorder or a psychological problem. Students can have a difficult in one of the four skills (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Reading) but if it occurs in two or more the student could present a bigger disorder. In order to know what the disorder is students must be tested, in this case by a psychologist but what we are going to do as teachers?

As teachers the first thing that we can do is to be pacient, and try to understand our students, specially who has the disability. The student must be observed for a period of time in order to present evidences about his/her behaviour. We can prepare special activities to make the students be involved in the lesson and of course make him/her feels as a normal person in a sociaty. Later we can ask for help to another teacher, student´s parents or a psychology to try to help the learning. It is a bib challenge for us, but we have to do it!!!

We are not just teachers to teach a subject we are teachers to teach how a student can be useful for the society!!!
